Are you ready for Connecticut's Only Spring Apple Hunt?
With heavy snow still on the ground, the Easter Apple Hunt is hopping into April. Rescheduled from its March date, the Easter Apple Hunt is now the Spring Apple Hunt.
Enjoy lots of outdoor family fun, including our unique take on the traditional Easter Egg Hunt! Activities include searching for hidden apples in the hay maze, an amazing magic show and free face painting!
All partipants who register in advance receive a special Spring Apple Hunt t-shirt! (Note: when you go through the Check Out process, you will be able specify shirt sizes for each ticket purchased.)
Go on a Horse-drawn wagon ride and/or pony ride for a nominal price! Come early, and enjoy a country breakfast in the Apple Barrel eatery!
Children ages 1 year to 10 years old may participate in the Spring Apple Hunt. Please note that one parent is allowed to accompany the child into the maze area for ages 6 and under. This will be strictly enforced.
We encourage you to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of your hunt time. Parking sometimes takes a little bit longer than on normal days. When you check in, you will receive the proper stickers to help you get into the hunting area, as well as your T-shirt and other goodies. Please note that we will begin the waves right on schedule and without the proper stickers you and your child will not be allowed into the hunting area.
Based upon feedback from previous Easter Apple Hunts, we are implementing a few changes:
we have added another wave to alllow more children to participate and we have flipped the waves so that the older children go through the Maze first;
we have eliminated the prizes that are attached to some of the apples. Instead, every child will receive a special prize at the end of their hunt;
we have a new maze exit where are participants will go at the end of the hunt. This will be a safe space where families can meet up at the end of the hunt.
Should we have inclement weather on April 18th, our raindate will be Sunday, April 19th. Your tickets will be valid on that date and time. Please make sure we have your valid email address because we will communicate via email. We will also communicate via Facebook and Twitter.
